A core element of our offering is our Mentorship initiative, where attendees can get direct access to experienced Mentors and Business Support Experts from across the startup, tech, and creative industries.

Our Mentorship Office Hours offer a unique opportunity to ask questions, gain insights, and receive expert guidance on everything from fundraising and scaling to marketing and product development, as well as expert sessions from our Sponsors.

  2. Complete the short registration form at the bottom of the page stating what you’d like to discuss and your preferred mentor. 

  3. Our team will review submissions and do our best to match you with your chosen mentor for a session at TecTonic. If matched, we will send a calendar invite to confirm your slot.

Robin is a serial entrepreneur with a passion for product design, strategy, commercialisation and problem solving. He is also active in the build-to-rent and residential new-build sector. His most notable success was the sale of intelligentpos (B2B SaaS) to iZettle which went on to become part of the PayPal group.

Liza is a 3x founder, startup advisor and investor with 20 years’ experience in early-stage fundraising from both sides of the table. She’s advised over 200 tech start-ups who have gone on to raise more than £150M in investments. Liza’s current focus is on helping companies raise their Seed and Series A. Liza was most recently Head of Ecosystem at Techstart Ventures, a seed stage venture capital investor. She previously founded a £1M-angel invested venture focused on revolutionizing audience engagement at live events, was EIR at Wayra’s AI & Blockchain Accelerator, and spent over 10 years advising high growth tech start-ups focused on software, AI/ML, synth bio, robotics and regenerative medicine while personally investing in a few. 

Originally from NYC, Liza has an MBA  and BA in Psychology. Her entrepreneurial journey began immediately after university, where she spent her formative years co-founding and leading a multi £million revenue music company while simultaneously DJing internationally.

Andy is a versatile tech leader with experience as a founder, operator and leader in the world’s fastest growing tech companies. With expertise in value proposition design, product management, business development and strategy, he has a wealth of experience supporting founders launching new products, repositioning existing ones, and transforming established companies. Andy is currently Co-Founder of Zaplex, a data and analytics business focused on helping business customers make smarter energy decisions. Previously, he built and sold Cultivate Software to Deliveroo, where he established and led Deliveroo’s Tech Centre in Scotland. He formed high performing engineering and product leadership teams and experienced their rapid growth, £600m fundraise and IPO. Since then he’s launched products across a range of sectors and been an investor and advisory board member for a number of early-stage companies.His mentoring approach prioritises clear, measurable objectives and brings practical tools to simplify theory and complexity. He helps founders navigate challenges like customer validation, positioning, and product-market fit, while also making space for the personal growth journey of being a founder. Robert is a Chicago-born, adopted Scot and 30+ year veteran in technology and finance. He founded Fundraising101™, an academy helping pre-seed Scottish tech startups master the fundamentals of raising investment in the UK and beyond.

Over his career, he has coached 500+ technology companies in investment readiness, enabling more than 160 startups to secure millions in funding. Robert is also founder and emeritus of Greenbackers Investment Capital, chaired Ecoconnect, and led Cleantech Innovate, alongside advisory roles with Zero Carbon Capital, Cambridge Cleantech, and the Solar Impulse Foundation.

Based in Glasgow, he brings deep expertise in cleantech, fundraising, and growth strategy.

Partner within our Business Advisory team in Glasgow, Neil joined Johnston Carmichael in 2010. He looks after a varied client portfolio of SMEs, in particular advising a number of young and fast-growing entrepreneurial businesses in the Food and Drink and Life Sciences and Technology sectors. 

Neil aims to add value and be a trusted advisor to his clients, utilising the strengths of Johnston Carmichael’s specialist teams to support clients in areas such as incentivising employees, expanding internationally, seeking investment, scaling their businesses or exiting.

Sooz is the creator of the Tekunoji Method, a CPD-accredited framework built around six essential digital skills: Innovation, Web Presence, Social Media Marketing, Cyber Security, AI & Automation, and Making Decisions with Data. 
 
Her approach helps individuals and organisations not only build capability, but develop a complete digital mindset, one that fuels creativity, confidence, and growth with technical and human skills.
 
A former Apple Trainer, Sooz has since gone on to partner with organisations such as The Data Lab, Facebook, Google Digital Garage, NHS Lothian, and Transport Scotland, designing and delivering high-impact training that blends digital confidence with real-world results.

Jason is a digital creative and entrepreneur with a passion for design, innovation, and storytelling. A graduate of Edinburgh College of Art, he has delivered work for clients including the Royal Bank of Scotland, Subway, Baillie Gifford, EQUINOR and the BBC.

As founder of Ping Creates, a full-service creative studio, and Kettle of Fish, a tech company developing an AI learning platform pitched in Silicon Valley, Jason brings real-world experience across creative and tech sectors.

As a mentor, he helps founders become pitch ready, identify growth opportunities, and refine their market fit for scalable success.

Sid Kathirvel, founder of Unlock Growth, brings 25 years of experience helping startups, scale-ups, and SMEs smash through revenue ceilings without burning cash or energy on wasteful sales and marketing tactics.

Known for transforming scattered marketing efforts into structured growth systems, Sid’s approach delivers measurable, repeatable results through customer-led strategy, sharp positioning, sticky messaging, and rigorous experimentation.

Sid helped Mindset AI build a marketing function that supported their £4M raise and influenced 59% of their closed pipeline revenue.

As the former Head of Marketing at Krotos, Sid led the company’s expansion and go-to-market of its AI-powered sound software, now used by Hollywood studios and content creators worldwide. His growth experimentation framework delivered 37% month-over-month MRR growth in the first year of Krotos Studio, and 610% annual ARR growth in its second year.

Sid also doubled year-on-year revenues for Flavours Holidays and Lenses in Glasses by growth hacking customer journeys and implementing scalable systems that dramatically increased inbound leads and revenue.

He has previously worked with global brands such as Coca-Cola, Cadbury, and Unilever, and collaborated with leaders from FanDuel, Meta, PayPal, Klarna, Ogilvy, and McCann.

Sid is a lifelong learner with an MBA from Robert Gordon University and advanced training in growth marketing, strategy, and board governance.

Michael is the Co-Founder for Design at More Yum, a leading design and brand studio within tech and culture. They work with founders and leaders to solve narrative, brand and product problems, and have been working with the large companies like FreeAgent, Skyscanner, Meta, Turing Fest and the BBC, as well as with startups and scaleups like AskVinny, Amytis, Pufferfish, Valla and loveelectric.

Michael approaches brand as a function of business, using design to invent a better, more optimistic, imaginative, lovable and daring future. A future that focuses on improving the everyday lives of real humans.

Beyond More Yum, he is a prolific speaker and lecturer across design and innovation in the UK, Europe and the US.

Josh Robertson is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and the Founder of Engineer a Career. Engineer a Career are redefining how engineering talent engages with industry. With a background spanning major energy, defence, and infrastructure projects, Josh has combined technical capability with a mission to close the visibility gap between education and employment.

He built and exited Kestros Health to Craneware at a 20x EBITDA multiple and has since advised/mentored and invested in a number startups.

Manjit helps founders refine strategy, attract funding, and scale confidently by drawing on his deep experience in product-market fit, investor engagement, and go-to-market execution across UK and US markets.

Matthew is the Co-Founder of Silmaril, an AI strategy and integration consultancy helping organisations move beyond the hype and unlock practical business value from artificial intelligence. A serial entrepreneur for more than 20 years, Matthew has built businesses across education, technology and simulation training, working with organisations including the United Nations, Red Cross and FCDO.

Before launching Silmaril, he taught AI adoption through the European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT), supporting senior leaders from organisations including KPMG, Deloitte and EY.

I coach engineering managers of all levels and folks in tech, and deal with whatever mess is keeping them up at 3am in the morning. I offer specialist support for neurodivergent, queer and disabled people too.

I’m a VP Engineering / Interim CTO with nearly two decades of experience leading complex reorganisations and stabilising high-growth startups through both rapid expansion and instability.

I’ve worked across Series A to Series G companies, from $10M to $300M ARR, and led international engineering organisations of 150+ people. My experience spans insurance, finance, security, and healthcare across B2B, B2C, and agency environments.

My style is direct, kind, and no-bullsh*t. I’ll tell you what you need to hear, not just what you want to hear.

Tadas is a product leader and exited founder who has built products from first idea to global scale. Most recently he was a Senior Product Manager at GitHub, where he led work across GitHub Issues, including semantic search, Issue fields, and Copilot integrations used by millions of developers. Before that he founded Prodsight, an AI-powered customer feedback platform used by Canva, Linktree, and MOO, and led its acquisition by Playvox in 2022.

At Playvox he stayed on as Product Director, building AI products for customer support teams. Across 12 years in product he’s worked as a founding PM alongside founders, as a startup founder running product himself, and inside a large, mature product organisation.

He now mentors founders and product managers on product strategy, AI, customer insight, and building products people genuinely want to use.
