We encourage everyone to approach interactions with care, respect, and an open mind. This Code of Conduct outlines the behaviours we expect at TecTonic Night Summit and in related spaces.

 
Age Restriction and Alcohol Guidelines
  • TecTonic Night Summit is a strictly 18+ event. ID may be required for entry.
  • Alcohol will only be served to individuals aged 18 and over, in accordance with UK licensing laws.
  • Intoxication leading to disruptive behaviour is not acceptable. Attendees are expected to drink responsibly and respect others.
  • Event staff and security reserve the right to refuse service or entry to anyone breaching these policies.
 
Harassment and Discrimination

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for harassment and discrimination based on:

  • Age.
  • Appearance or body size.
  • Beliefs or religion.
  • Colour, ethnicity, or race.
  • Disability or mental illness.
  • Gender identity or expression.
  • Immigration status or nationality.
  • Sexual orientation.
  • Social background or education.
  • Any other identity markers.
 
Behaviour Guidelines

Positive Behaviour
We encourage respectful behaviour that fosters a positive environment, including:

  • Showing empathy and kindness towards others.
  • Respecting differing opinions, viewpoints, and experiences.
  • Accepting feedback and using it constructively.
  • Assuming good intentions and clarifying misunderstandings.
  • Taking responsibility for mistakes and learning from them.
  • Reporting concerns responsibly.
  • Using names and pronouns as requested.

 

Unacceptable Behaviour
Disrespectful or harmful behaviours will not be tolerated, including but not limited to:

  • Harassment based on personal characteristics (e.g., race, gender, disability, etc.).
  • Repeated disruptions of on-stage performances, group events, or conversations.
  • Sexualised language, imagery, or unwelcome advances.
  • Trolling, insulting comments, or personal/political attacks.
  • Deliberate intimidation or aggressive discourse.
  • Sharing sensitive personal details without consent.
  • Excluding others intentionally.
  • Unwanted physical contact or ignoring requests to stop.
  • Encouraging or advocating for any of the above behaviours.

If your behaviour is making someone uncomfortable, stop immediately.

Reporting and Accountability

If you experience or witness behaviour that violates this Code of Conduct:

  1. Report It: Speak to venue event staff, security, or a TecTonic organiser on-site. Alternatively, contact us via team@tectonic.scot after the event.
  2. Response: All reports will be handled promptly and confidentially. Actions may include warnings, removal from the event, or banning from future events.
