A core element of our offering is our Mentorship initiative, where attendees can get direct access to experienced Mentors and Business Support Experts from across the startup, tech, and creative industries.

Our Mentorship Office Hours offer a unique opportunity to ask questions, gain insights, and receive expert guidance on everything from fundraising and scaling to marketing and product development, as well as expert sessions from our Sponsors.

Biography

Amy Kelly is a B2B growth marketing consultant with a track record of driving brand and business growth across the tech and creative industries. She is a Board Member at Creative Edinburgh and Head of Marketing at Startup Grind Scotland, supporting Scotland’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. 

Previously Director of EMEA Marketing at UserTesting, Amy has also held marketing roles at Meta, YouTube, ITV, and Publicis Groupe agencies. Amy is also the Co-Founder of Flux, a community for senior women leaders in UX and design, and host of The Braw Tech Podcast, showcasing Scotland’s tech innovation. Through her consultancy and community work, she is passionate about helping people and ideas thrive.

Robin is a serial entrepreneur with a passion for product design, strategy, commercialisation and problem solving. He is also active in the build-to-rent and residential new-build sector. His most notable success was the sale of intelligentpos (B2B SaaS) to iZettle which went on to become part of the PayPal group.

Liza is a 3x founder, startup advisor and investor with 20 years’ experience in early-stage fundraising from both sides of the table. She’s advised over 200 tech start-ups who have gone on to raise more than £150M in investments. Liza’s current focus is on helping companies raise their Seed and Series A. Liza was most recently Head of Ecosystem at Techstart Ventures, a seed stage venture capital investor. She previously founded a £1M-angel invested venture focused on revolutionizing audience engagement at live events, was EIR at Wayra’s AI & Blockchain Accelerator, and spent over 10 years advising high growth tech start-ups focused on software, AI/ML, synth bio, robotics and regenerative medicine while personally investing in a few. 

Originally from NYC, Liza has an MBA  and BA in Psychology. Her entrepreneurial journey began immediately after university, where she spent her formative years co-founding and leading a multi £million revenue music company while simultaneously DJing internationally.

Andy is a versatile tech leader with experience as a founder, operator and leader in the world’s fastest growing tech companies. With expertise in value proposition design, product management, business development and strategy, he has a wealth of experience supporting founders launching new products, repositioning existing ones, and transforming established companies. Andy is currently Co-Founder of Zaplex, a data and analytics business focused on helping business customers make smarter energy decisions. Previously, he built and sold Cultivate Software to Deliveroo, where he established and led Deliveroo’s Tech Centre in Scotland. He formed high performing engineering and product leadership teams and experienced their rapid growth, £600m fundraise and IPO. Since then he’s launched products across a range of sectors and been an investor and advisory board member for a number of early-stage companies.His mentoring approach prioritises clear, measurable objectives and brings practical tools to simplify theory and complexity. He helps founders navigate challenges like customer validation, positioning, and product-market fit, while also making space for the personal growth journey of being a founder. Nhamo has been in artificial intelligence (AI) and technology in general since 1999, initially in academia and then in Financial services. AI is a general purpose technology and for that reason Nhamo has been able to apply it to different problem domains ranging from models for predicting which security vulnerabilities will get viable exploits to models for helping a Pest Control company formulate profitable contracts with food establishments.

He has worked both in academia and in industry for international corporates which gives him both the theoretical foundation and the practical application of AI technology.

Nhamo has both experience and  passion for working with startups and SMEs in different sectors.

Ceri (They/Them) has 20+ years experience in the tech industry as a hands-on developer, technical leader, and product manager. They currently work with start-ups to figure out technical and product strategy from the earliest MVP through to exiting the market. They have worked for a variety of industries including EduTech, FinTech and HealthTech. They are tech-stack agnostic and excited about how No Code can be used in the entrepreneur space – it’s all about finding the right tool for the job, not one-size fits all.

They are passionate about testing, experimentation and learning in the start-up world and love collaborating with founders to explore possibilities. Ceri’s superpower is translating between the tech and non-tech worlds and back again: To help non-tech founders navigate the tech world with ease and deep-tech founders translate their ideas into language investors can get behind. Ceri has also held C-suite and board advisory positions in local organisations and understands the complexities of running a business on a bootstrap..

Partner within our Business Advisory team in Glasgow, Neil joined Johnston Carmichael in 2010. He looks after a varied client portfolio of SMEs, in particular advising a number of young and fast-growing entrepreneurial businesses in the Food and Drink and Life Sciences and Technology sectors.

Josh Robertson is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and the Founder of Engineer a Career. Engineer a Career are redefining how engineering talent engages with industry. He has built companies in multiple industries including Security, Consumer Retail and Tech covering both B2C and B2B SaaS. He now works as a Growth and Operations consultant, helping startup founders to deeply understand their users’ problems on their journey to Product Market Fit and grow to scale. He consults for companies and mentors for Barclays Eagle Labs and CodeBase where he is working with a diverse variety of early to mid-stage companies to get to product market fit, raise investment and scale the team.

Marcus co-founded SchoolCloud, an award-winning EdTech SaaS platform used by over 8,000 schools worldwide that achieved a successful eight-figure acquisition in 2021. Built entirely without external funding, he led the company through more than a decade of profitable growth.

Starting the business aged 15 while at high school in Glasgow, Marcus experienced the full founder journey — from developing the initial platform to overseeing product, development, growth and operations. He now mentors start-ups through Techscaler and Barclays Eagle Labs, helping founders build efficient, customer-focused SaaS businesses that deliver real impact.
