Glasgow City Council & The UK Government

Glasgow City Council plays a pivotal role in nurturing the city’s growing tech and innovation community. Through the Tech Ecosystem Event Subsidy and other ecosystem support programmes, part-funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, the Council provides vital funding to help organisers deliver high-impact events that connect startups, scaleups, investors, and talent across the region.

This initiative builds on the vision set out in the Scottish Tech Ecosystem Review (STER) and the Digital Glasgow Strategy, supporting events like Tectonic that showcase Glasgow as a world-class hub for technology, creativity, and collaboration.

By backing activities that strengthen the city’s innovation “market square,” Glasgow City Council ensures that Glasgow continues to be a place where entrepreneurs, creators, and technologists can come together to share ideas, spark opportunity, and grow the next generation of digital businesses.

This project is part-funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

Forumm

Forumm is the Scottish-built challenger to big corporate event tech.

We believe events should be bold, weird and brilliant, not buried under hidden fees, feature bloat, or faceless dashboards. That’s why we’ve built a platform that makes running events simple, powerful, and impossible to ignore.

What we do:

Straightforward ticketing → Paid tickets? We take 5%. Free events are free. Connect Stripe and get your money instantly. Embedded webinars → No Zoom or Teams bolt-ons.

Who we work with: From community organisers and universities to event agencies and investment networks. Anyone who wants to run events that actually land.

Generative Connections

This year, we’re thrilled to enhance your TecTonic experience with Generative Connections, an intelligent networking platform created by Generative Minds.

Powered by AI, Generative Connections helps you discover and connect with the people who matter most — those who need what you offer and offer what you need. A week before the event, you’ll receive a personalised list of recommended connections, so you can start conversations early and arrive ready to build meaningful relationships.

No more chance encounters or endless scrolling — just smart, purpose-driven networking designed to help you make the most of every moment at TecTonic.
