As if Wednesday 10 Dec wasn’t busy enough with welcoming ~500 people later that evening for TecTonic Night Summit…
Earlier in the day, we had the opportunity to bring a smaller group together at Barclays HQ for a focused, closed-door conversation with PXN Group, Barclays Eagle Labs and the British Business Bank, alongside invited founders, investors and ecosystem partners.
True to the spirit of TecTonic, the aim was cross-pollination = people, perspectives and lived experience, around a topic that’s often emotive and long-debated: access to capital in Scotland and the North of England.
Investment terms, accessibility, education and transparency were all on the table, alongside very real personal stories (both good and bad) around the realities of raising money.
Our hope is that this marks the first of an annual, more honest “health check” on how financing innovation is really working across the ecosystem.
Huge thanks to everyone who contributed openly and constructively. It was a strong way to kick off a day that ultimately celebrated collaboration, connection and momentum.
Great to work with Ben Davies, Barry McCulloch and Nathalie Cutting, and we’re genuinely optimistic about the role PXN Group can play in shaping a more constructive investment narrative in 2026.

More to come.
