Scotland’s Innovation Market Square is back.

After three consecutive sold-out events and welcoming more than 1,300 founders, creatives, investors, technologists and community builders, we’re delighted to announce that TecTonic Night Summit returns to Barras Art and Design (BAaD) on Thursday 10 September 2026 as part of Glasgow Tech Week.

This year’s event once again follows Fusion Fest, Glasgow City Innovation District’s flagship conference, opening the doors to the wider innovation community for an evening that celebrates the people, organisations and ideas shaping Scotland’s future.

More than a networking event

TecTonic was never intended to be another conference or community gathering.

It was created around a simple observation: Scotland already has incredible founders, creative talent, investors, support organisations, creatives, universities and technology communities. What we need more of are opportunities for those worlds to collide.

That’s why we describe TecTonic as Scotland’s Innovation Market Square.

Much like the historic market squares that brought communities together to exchange ideas, goods and opportunities, TecTonic creates a welcoming space where conversations happen naturally and unexpected collaborations begin.

It’s where founders meet designers.

Investors meet builders.

Tech professionals meet entrepreneurs.

Community organisations stand shoulder-to-shoulder with startups.

Professional service firms connect with the businesses they’ll help grow.

Everyone has something to contribute, and everyone has something to discover.

Why the name TecTonic?

The name TecTonic comes from tectonic plates. On their own, they’re simply large land masses moving almost imperceptibly beneath the Earth’s surface. But when those plates meet, incredible things happen. Energy is released. Landscapes change. New possibilities emerge.

We think innovation works in much the same way. TecTonic celebrates the movement and overlap of people and ideas!

A showcase of Scotland’s innovation ecosystem

One of the things that makes TecTonic unique is that it doesn’t exist to promote itself.

Instead, the event shines a spotlight on the incredible organisations already supporting Scotland’s entrepreneurial, technology and creative communities.

More than 70 Community Partners help shape the event by introducing their networks, showcasing their work and ensuring the audience genuinely reflects the breadth and diversity of Scotland’s innovation ecosystem.

Our philosophy has always been simple:

A rising tide lifts all boats.

By celebrating the people already doing brilliant work, we strengthen the ecosystem as a whole.

What to expect this September

TecTonic blends the energy of a festival with the purpose of a business event.

This year’s programme will feature:

Whether you’re building a startup, growing a scale-up, investing in businesses, supporting founders, working in technology, creating something beautiful or simply curious about Scotland’s innovation ecosystem, you’ll find your place at TecTonic.

Part of Glasgow Tech Week

We’re incredibly proud to once again be part of Glasgow Tech Week.

Across the week, Glasgow will host an exciting programme of conferences, meetups, workshops, demonstrations and community-led fringe events across technology, creative industries and entrepreneurship, welcoming visitors from across Scotland, the UK and internationally.

TecTonic provides the perfect opportunity to round off Fusion Fest by bringing together not just conference delegates, but the wider entrepreneurial and creative community for an evening that reflects the diversity and energy of Scotland’s innovation ecosystem.

If you’re travelling to Glasgow Tech Week, make sure TecTonic is part of your itinerary.
